We waited over an hour for our food after being told it would take at least 20 minutes. When the meals finally arrived, the vegetable portions were small and bland. I specifically asked if the chicken was roasted and was told yes, but what arrived was actually a small grilled chicken breast – not what was promised. The grilled fish we ordered was equally disappointing. Overall, the place is overpriced for the quality of food and service you receive. The only thing they got right was serving the beer really cold, but that's not enough to make up for everything else. Can't recommend based on this experience.

Update, May 2025: they have coffee to go!!! We are to pay for the paper cup, it’s 30-50 escudo/cents. Nice and cosy place where you can get some European food like burgers, milkshakes and even Shawarma. They have natural tea which is hot water with herbs like mint or lemongrass (no tea leaves). I don’t give 5 starts because you can’t pay with your Visa card or Apple Pay - only cash or local card.

Their service was quite slow as only one guy was working. It took forever for our food to come out. I enjoyed the pasta I had, but my drink was so bad. The guy was kind enough to replace.

Great place for a no frills meal. Family run, limited choice but all prepared from fresh for you, so a little wait. However, unique atmosphere, particularly outdoors, service with a smile and fantastic value for money for well prepared and tasty food.

It started that they said they had no still water left at 19.30 pm and went on with the fish which wasn't good tasting and you had the feeling that it wasn't that fresh as said in previous reviews and dry. Ongoing you had the feeling that the food was cooked before and wasn't freshly made and the Hamburger was just bad fast food. Later we saw that they had water left but earlier said they didn't. The atmosphere although was nice and there was life music. The restaurant is always filled with people but don't take that as a cause to eat here. There are places in Tarrafal serving better food. In summary: bad service and loveless food.
