The best guest house we stayed at during our trip in Cabo Verde. Insane views, everything exceptionally clean, and great breakfast. Thank you Sandro for the amazing hospitality!

Incredible views 600m high in a valley with walls up to 1600m. Beautiful wild hikes among the crops growing everywhere (sugar cane, coffee, bananas, and more). It’s paradise. Sandro and his wife are wonderful hosts and their place is beautiful with a great rooftop to chill and enjoy the views. Nice breakfast at the hotel, picnics (lunch) available for purchase to take with you for your hikes, and the restaurant in town has delicious traditional food for dinners. You must come to experience this paradise adventure!

This was my first overnight on the traverse of Santo Antão. Great place and warmly recommended, also for multi night stays. My room (shared bath), the terrace and breakfast area offer awesome views. The layout makes the building a bit of a labyrinth. The room setup was smart and well done. Despite being sick, Sandro was a great communicator and helpful host. While not offering dinner, Ady (the previous manager of Chez Sandro) & Juju do a great job a few meters down the road.

What a fantastic stay at Chez Sandro. A very welcoming guest house run by a wonderful family. Frenchman Aandeo and his Cape Verdean wife run a tight and tidy ship in the heart of hiking country. Clean. Peaceful. B eautiful views from the roof top patio. Clean beds. Hot showers. Hearty breakfast (with beautiful views across the valley). Not much to do in town bur a couple restaurants and corner stores but you are there to hike! And maybe catch the guys playing soccer on the cement court inside the school yard. Merci Sandro!!!
