Pensao Por do Sol is a wonderful place on the island of Santiago, right by the sea in Tarrafal, offering stunning views of the Fogo. The staff are exceptionally friendly & helpful, making you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. The food is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We were warmly received and truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

The best accommodation we could have wished for! The breakfast was AMAZING! The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially Gerson! ❤️ Thank you for having us, definitely coming again!

A cozy hotel with a spacious, modern, and very comfortable room! The terrace is the icing on the cake, with an incredible view of the ocean and a spectacular sunset!

Nice modern hotel! . We booked through booking and unfortunately even when we asked for a larger room or accommodation because we were two adults and two little children they did not have anything available besides a small room with a queen size bed. Location is ok, a little far from the main beach and restaurant options but still doable (we went by car) . The room was modern but basic, bathroom got flooded when using the shower or toilet hose. There was no place to hang wet towels. Bed was alright but one of our pillows had a stain that looked like blood . Breakfast in the rooftop was nice: a variety of fruits, machine coffee , juice, bread and you could order omelets and catxupa. It would be nice if the rooftop was open in the evenings for a drink at the sunset. Only the restaurant downstairs was open. The hotel has awesome art! The receptionist that welcomed us was helpful and provided more towels and pillows when we requested them. They also came to fix the TV in our room pretty quickly. In general it was a good stay for the price.
