Very calm and quiet in the night, very nice terasse, clean room, friendly and helping host, very cozy bed, i had great and deep rested sleeps during the stay. The closeness to the beach is a big plus as well. Thank you so much Alcinda for having us :-)

The staff were welcoming and friendly despite the language barrier, however the room was only cleaned once during the week we stayed and we weren’t given fresh towels or bedding. You get what you pay for!

Excellent value for money. A simple room with a small terrace for relaxing and a mini-fridge that was very useful. The staff were very friendly; Aila treated us wonderfully and even stored our luggage on our departure day until it was time to go to the airport. The room was very clean. The only downsides were the towels, which weren't changed during our five-day stay, and the bathroom rug was very worn. The location is fantastic, close to the beach and 10 minutes from the city center. I would definitely stay again.

For me, the best place I could find was at the end of one of the main streets in Santa Maria, offering a quiet retreat from the crowds. The balcony overlooks the ocean. Two places to eat breakfast and dinner were just two minutes from my room. The facilities were satisfactory, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I've traveled extensively between the islands, but I chose Pensao as my base for my island hopping. If I ever visit Cape Verde again, I'll definitely stay here. P.S. Great price for this quality accommodation.

Very affordable guesthouse on the island. Really good value for money. The only downside was the lack of assistance (either in person or via text) if there were any problems. Furthermore, the host only speaks Creole and doesn't understand English. However, he was very friendly and kind, a quality not always expected from Cape Verdean hosts. The room was clean and basic. Excellent location, facing the sea and a few hundred meters from the center and beach of Santa Maria. If you're on a budget, this is an excellent option!
