What a great place. I highly recommend! In the past we've walked past this place as it appeared a bit pompous, as the deco from the outside makes the place look a bit like a hotel...and pricey. This is not the case at all! The staff are happy, attentive and professional. The food is well priced and tasty (Tuna wrap was a tad dry. Curry - excellent!). Live music started around 8pm, but reminiscent of Sade...creating a great, relaxing vibe. Don't leave without coming here

Brilliant. We came here for lunch in our first week and thankfully got a seat (I've been told how popular this place is) The Mango salad, was superb & filling. I shall be adopting that when we go home. The bruschetta cheese toastie was very enjoyable too. We came here by chance for our dinner on our second week. There were couple of seats waiting for us as we arrived just before 8pm. They had a lovely live singer on for the ambience... Fantastic ❤️ The coconut chicken curry is amazing...I'm a big foodie...and this ticked all the boxes for me including the spice. The chickpea burger was scrumptious. Staff very attentive. Did not have to wait more than 10 minutes to be served. Again fabulous food, and their wine and cocktails are super too. If we lived here this would be our local haunt for GREAT food, ambience and relaxation amongst good friends. Highly recommended for good wholesome health food 🫶🏾

It is a nice spot to chill and have a coffee or eat something. We heard of Papaya Cafe due to our cousin who was here 3 weeks ago Food and coffee are tastefull. Service is excellent, staff make good eyecontact with you, many are smiling, so friendly 😇 Atmosphere is great, sitting outside or inside. Toilet also is clean. Nr. 1 restaurant/cafeteria on Sal Island. Very top tier service with great food. Service was not the fastest, which is understandable because the cafeteria was almost full all the time. Absolute best meals we're pancakes. I'm a big fan of Carrot Cake, but tried it and the portion did not really fill the restaurant standards in my opinion. Also tried the "homemade Brownie", unfourtanetly same issue. That's why we always had pancakes and never got dissapointed! :D We visited the cafeteria total of 5 times during our 7-day trip on Sal Island. The drinks were good (with lots of alcohol=) and the cafeteria had very fair pricing! Romulo, our local waiter deserves a special mention. This dude just brings positive vibes and brightenes everyones day with his smile and great attitude in his work. Thank you!

Everything was delicious, great service, and such a nice atmosphere. Totally recommend! We had breakfast here and loved it so much that we came back for dinner.
