This is the main buffet restaurant at the RIU Palace Santa Maria hotel. Despite it being a huge hotel, it effortlessly feeds all comers. You go and grab your food and the. Find a table The main term I use to describe the food here is comprehensive. Any food genre is catered for, which is impressive given the multi-national makeup of the guests. Cheese for German breakfast? Kein Problem. Baked beans for the Brits? Cheers, guv’nor Open fir breakfast, lunch and dinner, the staff work tirelessly

This is an OK buffet restaurant. We ate here most breakfast and lunch. The staff are not very attentive, leaving tables not cleared, resulting in many birds landing on them. We also found the staff not very engaging, with most seeming quite miserable even when you try and pass a friendly good morning. The staff oveall apart from the animation team could do with learning the art of friendliness from the staff at Boa Vista Riu Palace Hotel. Thought could also be put into the main area where food is served staff serving the food rather than guests many of whom dont wash hands. Children picking up food without using utensils and food in general should be covered due to infestation of flies.

Tried speciality restaurants but they do not compare to the Palmeira. Massive range of foods from dishes across the world. Tasty, fresh and on occasion prepared on demand. Fish, meat, vegetarian, beautiful and traditional desserts, multiple cheeses and fresh salads. Service is efficient and professional. Breakfast is extensive.

Part of the hotel complex and available for those all inclusive. Except for breakfast, you need to line up to be seated in the inside area away from the wind and draughts. Can be quite chaotic and stressful if you are the one trying to be polite and giving way to people - it doesn't work here. Get your grub and get back to the safety of your table without stopping for anyone - you won't see them again so sod 'em!
