A wonderful place to stay on the island of Santo Antão. Perched on top of a cliff, the location offers breathtaking views over the sea. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious, complemented by an excellent selection of wines. I recommend this place without hesitation. One small point to consider: dinner is served at a single large communal table, and guests are expected to dine together. While we had perfectly pleasant conversations, I personally would have preferred the option of a private table.

Palmeira Da Cruz is a true paradise. This eco-lodge is located directly by the sea and offers breathtaking views of the wild, unspoiled nature of Santo Antão – a place where you instantly slow down and feel deeply connected to your surroundings. The entire property is designed with incredible love, care, and a strong sense of sustainability. Everything is beautifully arranged with great attention to detail – nothing feels random, everything is thoughtful and harmonious. One of the absolute highlights is the food: everything is freshly and lovingly prepared by the hosts themselves. Fruits and vegetables are grown on site, which you can truly taste and feel in every meal. The quality and authenticity are exceptional. And then there are the hosts: Dany and Guy are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuine. Their hospitality makes this place truly special. We felt completely at home and had a truly wonderful stay. A heartfelt recommendation for anyone seeking nature, sustainability, peace, and genuine hospitality.

We had a truly wonderful time at Palmeira da Cruz in Cape Verde and felt very lucky to be able to enjoy this special place for seven nights. After a stunning drive — we honestly didn’t know where to look first — we arrived at this unique location. Even though we were a bit early, we were warmly welcomed by Dany, which immediately set the tone for our stay. This is not only a beautiful place, but also a thoughtfully created concept. The architecture, atmosphere and attention to detail are spot on. We love stories, and the story of Palmeira da Cruz is reflected in every carefully considered detail. There is something to discover everywhere. Each evening we eagerly looked forward to dinner: delicious, pure and full of flavour, prepared by Guy using local ingredients — many of them home-grown — and clearly made with great care and love. We were lucky enough to enjoy several breathtaking sunsets during aperitif time on our private terrace. Breakfast was beautifully presented with a view over the ocean, where we were even able to spot sea turtl, yes! - the perfect start to the day. Alongside the hikes and swims, we also truly enjoyed slowing down and relaxing: taking time to unwind, especially while brushing Arthur the donkey, surrounded by the adorable goats. Moments like these get a special place in our heart. The location is ideal as a base for wonderful hikes, followed by a refreshing dip in the pool and time to relax in the many lovely spots around the property. Everything here radiates calm, care and attention. Our deepest respect for this little gem that Dany & Guy have — almost literally — built up from the wild land itself! Thank you for this wonderful stay: Dany, Guy, the entire warm team, the sweet dogs, the lovely cats, the heart-stealing Arthur and the playful goats 💝. Our stay at the Lodge was amazing. The rooms with the nice sea view and a generous terrace are beautiful. You can see how much thought is put into every detail not only in the rooms but also in the Pool area and dinner area. The Massage is also a nice highlight. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious! Dany and Guy are excellent hosts.

Beautiful eco lodge a couple of minutes walk from Cruzinha with amazing views of the sea. Great starting point for the North Coast Walk. Dany and Guy were amazing hosts. Their whole team is very friendly. We had breakfast and dinner at the lodge every day and the quality was excellent. We also enjoyed the communal dinner experience with the other guests. The pool area is breathtaking and we were also very happy with our room. The attention to detail is exceptional. Not the cheapest accommodation and food, but well worth the experience!
