The owner of the hotel is very friendly. He organized a trip for us around the whole island. It was an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the square, restaurants, shops. There is a laundry service for a fee. The breakfast was good. Two nights well spent.

The location is spot on — close to everything but still chill and peaceful. The place itself is simple in the best way: clean, cozy, and full of good vibes. Absolutely delicious breakfast! All local goodies, fresh and full of flavor — you can taste the island in every bite. And then there’s Ulisses — the legend himself! Friendly, funny, and always ready to help. He knows every corner of Fogo Island and has a story for each one. If you’re up for the best fish soup you’ll ever have, want to find the top surf or dive spots, or just hear amazing tales about the island, he’s your guy. If you want a real Fogo experience, this is the place to stay.

Highly recommend this place. It has the best location: 15-20 mins walking from the airport (you won't need a taxi if you doesn't have much baggage), 10 mins to the beach and 2-3 mins to grocery shops or restaurants Also the Aluger station you will find next to the Municipal Market which is 5 mins walking from the hotel. As for the hotel, of course it seems a lil bit tired inside, but everything works: you will have a super comfy bed, aircon, free wifi with good signal and even a fridge. On the upper floor there is a dining room where you can get glasses, plates or corkscrew if you need. As for the brekfast, which is included: nice local coffee, super fresh bread, ham and cheese, butter and even peanut butter, hard boiled eggs and fresh local fruits. The best way to start your day. And you will be lucky if the owner will be there , once he brought fresh goat cheese and papaya from the market, it was so nice that you will never get anything better even at 5 stars hotel, I mean it.

We can only comment on the service. Ulisses Lopes was very accommodating; we had booked, but the airline came up and canceled. We would have loved to come. The room, although confirmed, was canceled. The communication was very pleasant. Thank you!
