Nice bay , great wee bar right infront of bay. Shame the room was not ready for the 14:00 check in as stated but the 12:00 checkout they was taken seriously ! No tv , no kettle, no hot water. We still liked it even with all the above and it was NOT going to spoil our last night.

Few steps away from Murdeira Bay, this is a lucky spot to escape daily city rhythm and immerse yourselves in a calm environment. Rooms are slightly outdated, showing natural signs of aging but all things considered they are spacious, silent and have everything you need to enjoy a stay to relax, away from noise and nonsensical stress. Swimming pool with salt water is an optimal plus to chill when tide is low or you fear going snorkeling and meet a sea turtle might make you decide to skip the flight back home :P Ps: for those who love animals, local cats visiting from time to time add a touch of cuteness to the environment.

No hot water most of the time. Tv works sometimes Everything closed at 10 and until morning cant drink or eat anything . The rooms are big but old fashion , no kettle. The Hotel is far way from everything . To buy anything we have to pay a taxi , santa maria is 8km away . Not a 4 star at all.

I spent 10 days at this hotel while traveling alone. Overall, everything went well. The pool is saltwater and is cleaned every evening, though the surroundings are a bit dated. The room wasn’t spotless, but it was generally clean, and the bedding was okay. A minor downside is the Wi-Fi, which rarely worked in the room. However, it’s of good quality at the reception and in the restaurant. The restaurant (I was on half-board) offers classic European food (pasta, pizzas, burgers, omelets, etc.) along with two different meat dishes each evening. Breakfasts are very good. The staff is very friendly, though I did have an uncomfortable experience with one waiter who was a bit intrusive, making me uneasy despite my refusals to 'get friendly' with him. But all the other people working at the hotel and restaurant were very professional, caring and friendly. There are security guards who patrol during the day and night, which is quite reassuring. There’s a shuttle to Santa Maria twice a day, but it would be nice if there was an extra trip in the mid-afternoon.

Oh dear. I try and put a positive spin on most of the places I review. Maybe I should just say that being here a day is too long. We were out of here ASAP. Nothing good about food, accomodation, care from staff, architecture, and upkeep. Some views are ok. It you decide to stick out out here, a cab to town is 12 euros and you can stay as long as you like.
