Quick service at the bar and food laid out under glass was actually very good . Ask for branded drinks as the stuff they give you normally ain't great . The swim up bar was excellent and a great place to meet and chat with other holiday makers

Stayed at the Riu Palace Hotel, Sal for 1 week. This complex is large and great for getting your steps up! If your mobility is limited ask for rooms nearer to reception as that is where the main restaurant and themed restaurants are. A few guests had rented mobility scooters to get around the site. Plenty of food and choice at all restaurants and a poolside snack bar serving chicken, burgers etc from 12.00. There is a water park/slide area at the front of the hotel for the younger guests to enjoy. A Spa and Gym - which you have to book appointments/slots for, but this works well. Definitely download the Riu app on your phones as you can make requests, report any maintenance issues, book the themed restaurants and order water, soft drinks etc for your mini bar if you run out. The grounds are Immaculate, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Nightly entertainment, what's on can be viewed on app and in main reception. The beach is vast. Manned by lifeguards as the sea can be choppy but the pools on the resort are also large and not overcrowded. Pool towels provided. There are men on the beach selling their wares but do not pester you if you decline. I read many reviews from people complaining about flies. Yes, there are flies but in June nothing that you wouldn't get sat in the garden in UK. There is always a lovely wind/breeze which tends to keep most of the mosquitos away but ended up with a few pesky bites. I would definitely stay here again. 😁

Amazing food quality with lots of choice. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Highly recommend.
