The cheese with papaya was exquisite. The longanizas were also very good. Perhaps a bit pricey for what the dish itself is. Good service, although we had to wait about 30 minutes for the first course. The staff are pleasant and the place is lovely

Delicious, authentic Cape Verdian food! Service was great! Do make sure you have cash (CVE or EUR) on you as they don’t take credit cards.

I was lucky enough to have met the two wonderful owners right in front of their closed restaurant just when I had arrived. We spoke a bit and I told them it was my last day here in Tarrafal and that I really would have loved to try their vegetarian cachupa. Without any hesitation they invited me in and opened their kitchen just for me, even though it was their day off. That was a really lovely gesture and reminded me that it doesn’t cost anything to be kind. The cachupa was honestly one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t find a better word to describe it than as “soul food”. What a beautiful place, where you feel welcome, because the people here greet you with open arms! Thank you so so much!

We discovered it in our last day in Tarrafal and it was the perfect farewell we could get for our holidays in Cabo Verde. Fresh and super tasty food, really well cooked ❤️ really in love with their Catchupa. A definitely MUST GO if you visit Tarrafal.

Great food, with vegetarian twist on the traditional dishes. However you have to be patient the service is slow but worth it !
