We stayed one week here in February with two young kids. It’s not a European 5 star hotel for sure, but looking around you’ll soon realize the whole island is almost desert like and everything you drink and eat are imported, and that puts things back to perspective. We don’t have any towel issue, they are more than enough. The pools are a bit cold under the wind, but no problem for energetic kids. Cleaning lady popped up every day except one day. The beach closed to Bikini bar was paradise in a no wind day. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We booked all restaurants on arrival day with a lady in Odyssey bar, no problem at all. The food is in general ver average, but hey again we are basically on Mars. My company paid half the price so 3k/week is acceptable for us, but if I have to pay 7k myself, as a family with young kids and not big fan of surfing or diving, I’d probably go to some other more developed islands or ski instead.

The room was ok, we had balcony that had no sun. The bed was very comfy. Very windy to make it cold at night when the sun went down. The buffet food was ok, meat on the bone, what you would expect in a three star hotel in a place like Lanzarote. They do have 5 restaurants that are not much better, only have choice of four starters and 4 mains. The two best were the statehouse and the Italian. For an all inclusive on an island that had not much going on there was very little entertainment, odd singer in various places for an hour or so. All drinks (beer was nice) were served in old plastic cups, you know the ones with scratches and look not washed, half pint glasses. Trouble is they even ran out of these and started using what I would say was kids plastic cups that held less than a third of a pint! The staff were pleasant and accommodating apart from the woman in level lounge who could not speak English (all writing and adverts were in English so they expected English speakers) and could not help with basic enquiry. Was ok for 5 days but would have climbed the walls if any longer. Maybe entertainment in high season but not for us.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Stay at Melia Dunas! We are currently staying at Melia Dunas (room 1007) and felt the need to write this review already, because our experience has been nothing short of excellent. Before arriving, we were honestly a bit nervous after reading some negative reviews on Google and TripAdvisor — but we can now confidently say that those concerns were completely unfounded. The reality is the exact opposite. Check-in was smooth and well organized, the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food has been delicious, varied, and fresh every single day, far exceeding our expectations. No long queues, no issues with availability — just great quality and choice. Our room (1007) is spotlessly clean and very well maintained, housekeeping is reliable and thorough, and everything works perfectly. The resort itself is beautiful, spacious, and very well kept. The beach is stunning, pools are fantastic, and despite the lively atmosphere, it is never too loud or disturbing — there are plenty of quiet areas for pure relaxation. After worrying for a month because of negative reviews, we can now say with certainty that this has been an amazing holiday. Everything is perfect, and we would highly recommend Melia Dunas to anyone without hesitation.

I've just returned from a 10 day stay at Melia Dunas, the hotel stated that it was 5 stars, but at best it is 3 stars. Maybe it was 5 stars when it had just opened up. The rooms need modernising, the staffs need training on customer services. And they need to have more vegan and vegetarian options for people who doesn't eat meat and fish. I personally would not be recommending this hotel to anyone. They need more entertainment and a lot more things to do on the complex. The experience was a little disappointing.

We were first time in Cape Verde. Amazing place and amazing hotel. Fast service, good food. Big room, our was with big bed, living room, and big bathroom. Clean and cleaned every day. Many bars open till late night. Many restaurants to choose from for evening dinner. Huge object, need 15 minutes for us to walk to the beach but we love it. Amazing beach with best place for snorkelling (we seen few turtles and lots of fishes). Best beach bar with great parties. We don’t have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Was really good holiday. Highly recommend!!
