Highly recommend this place if you’re passing through Mindelo, the view to Monte Cara and the surrounding areas including Porto Grande Bay is spectacular and the sunset is BEAUTIFUL here! Friendly staff and very efficient, they are always very attentive usually depending if the house is full, the food and drinks are is amazing and delicious, I recommend trying the chicken/tuna salad and the chicken wings (the sauce is spicy and delicious)! Will always come back here and with friends! 10/10!!

The Floating Bar is a great spot to grab some drinks, especially if you’re staying in the Marina since it’s right on your doorstep. The staff is very polite and friendly, which adds to the overall experience. When it comes to the food, though, it’s a bit hit-or-miss. The paella was very good, and I would definitely order it again. The burgers, on the other hand, I can’t recommend—I tried them twice, and both times they were cold and quite bland, which was really disappointing. However they do make a mean portion of fries and the crispy side if you are looking for a little snack. With so many nearby places offering better food at a better price, I’d stick to drinks here and explore other spots in the area for a proper meal.

Largely depends on if you rate it by European standards or Cape Verde. Service is aloof and unfriendly but that’s not uncommon in CV. Zero smiles, slow, dragging feet and a bit off, as though customers are just a bother. But the food is reasonable and location, particularly for sailors is of course excellent. So can’t complain.

marina Mindelo: Great party location and a rude service. 2 times (after complaining the first time that the Burger & the french fries were cold out of the kitchen). The second time only the burger was the same and still cold. The grilled octopus was tasty and warm. Now you can charge by your own.
