If you’re looking for a homemade, down to earth, reasonably priced but with a Michelin style flair, then Marea is the place! Food was delicious (some of the best in Santa Maria) and staff very welcoming! It’s a true hidden gem! Reserve in advance to avoid disappointment

Mamma mia! I was lucky enough to be acomodated without reservation, but my advice is to book your table! So first, a big thank you for welcoming me and for making my dinner a delightful journey among various tastes. Big applause for the Tuna Rossini, which combines two of my favorite foods. I was between perplexity and joy of anticipation, wondering how the two would mix. Honestly, with the delicate spiced sauce acompanying the dish, it was a marvel of taste and delicacy, at least worth a Michelin star for this "terre-mer" perfectly executed. The friendliness of the service as well as the delicious pino griggio made a very enjoyable meal! I can only recommend.

I had a superb dinner at Marea. It's the perfect refined restaurant with an island vibe, with a handful of tables in a well sheltered veranda and a very personal touch by the maitresse d' and the chef. There is an outstanding care for details, from the simple decor to the exact searing on all sides of the tuna pieces in my hand-made tagliatelle alla siciliana. I was lapping the plate. I also had a local fish with an excellent orange sauce with candied peels. The ingredients are all fresh and excellent and each taste comes out separately. Because of their freshness and limited quantity, some items disappear soon so best to book for an early dinner.
