We walked by during the day and made a reservation for dinner. It’s a nice place with friendly and speedy service and really delicious food. I also liked the relaxed background music which added positively to the overall experience. Would definitely come back if in town again.

The beach bar is a bit hidden when you’re coming from the boulevard, but it’s truly a hidden gem. The smoothies are delicious (especially the mango pineapple), and the food is very good as well. The chicken wings are highly recommended. Prices are on the higher side for the island, but it’s definitely worth it. They also play great music, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Last week we thought we would try out Isiko based on the wonderful reviews, but sadly we were not impressed. We are already very accustomed to the island life of slowing life down as our favourite island Barbados has the same way. Cape Verde no stress no worries, is fine but when you are waiting 20 minutes to even be asked if you would like a drink, after you've been shown a table on a warm evening, it is not cool. When we asked we were ignored. Perhaps we take it for granted that as soon as you sit down someone would offer water.. which most would agree is life essential ...but sadly here it wasn't even thought of!! They weren't busy either ...only 3 other tables of about 12 people in total, in the lounging bar area. No one in the dining area. 3 bar staff behind the small bar mixing drinks, 2 waiting staff, ( one active, the other not) & the manager. One member of staff was just hanging around so we asked her if we could have a drink. Using hand signals she indicated that her colleague would serve us. Another 15 minute wait. By now we are thirsty. After ordering drinks it then took another 20 minutes for it to arrive. But at least we had been asked what we want for dinner from the menu. Lobster : nope, they hadn't had a ferry in from Boa Vista so there was no lobster. A little suggestion : perhaps state that when guests are seated for dinner, or in a chalk board easel at the front of your restaurant. Nachos: thankfully we asked what it consisted of.... We were told meat!! But it didn't stipulate this on the menu!! (We are pescatarians ) In England it would be vegetarian unless it stated that there was meat on it, or available to add. We now understand this is normal in Cape Verde (duly noted). So we said we just stayed for one drink, paid and left. The lack of service really let's down a beautifully eclectically designed eatery on the beach.

A very cozy and romantic restaurant with very polite and friendly staff. The prices are a little bit higher but the food is delicious. I ate the best quesadillas I ever had!
