We had to sit and wait for the breakfast every morning. We had cacroug in our room. No Tv-signals.

They charged me for the lunch even though for special circumstances (canceled flight) I should not have payed anything. I was the only one from the group that they insisted I have to pay. They didn't refund me at the moment because the manager was not answering, and I left, since I was a tourist visiting the islands and I had to continue my trip. I left my contact details and I was promised the refund but I had no information nor contact from the hotel since then. This is not professional and a 4-star hotel should treat the tourists better than that.

What a wonderful place. This hotel compound is located remotely and is very secure. The staff and owner are friendly and professional. I stayed here for 9 days and its was heaven. The salt water pools are cleaned daily. The bar is staffed with friendly people always willing to share new exotic drinks with guests. The rooms are large and capable of accommodating all kinds of guests and parties. The restaurant at the hotel is get good. All the food was freshly made with care each day. Come and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

It is one of the most the most luxurious hotel I have ever been in. Felt like a palace for an ascetic traveller. Not just clean but very clean. Air Conditioner, a lot of space, pool, balcony, furniture. However, bring your own soap. There is also a token gym (stone floor, no heavy weightlifting). Friendly service. Quiet. Breakfast 8:30 ... 9:30. Generous breakfast, better than standard continental for sure. The opt-in lunch was very good. It may be either deli for groups or a la carte. Eat-as-much-as-you-want for groups is great value. However, a la carte is a bit expensive option; specialized restaurants can do better than that. For swimming, I asked for a towel and I got it. During my stay I accidentally ate a kiwi meant for Cabo Verde football team and the situation caused by my appetite for fruit was solved in a very friendly manner despite language barrier. Most of people do not speak English, French is probably more common. One of the administrators spoke English. Asked for a towel for pool and got it. Got help with organizing taxi to airport (it is expensive here and it has been not as easy to get a taxi when you actually need them). I definitely recommend this place. Place is also important. Cidade Velha is much more quiet and quaint compared to Praia.

Worst 4 star hotel I have ever seen, dimly lit, strong smell of mold in the bathroom, took two persons to slide the balcony door open and closed, bed was hard enough for an ascetic. The only English speaking worker was clearly annoyed of the extra work we caused her, although the hotel seemed to be almost empty. Two requests was needed to get towel to our kid and some water glasses. Breakfast was available to a specific time only, but when we went to eat it, it was not ready.
