Our holiday started poorly, the room issued to us, 1004, was clean and very adequate, however; it overlooked the rooms in the adjoining hotel and was dark getting no sun at any time of the day. That said the staff on reception were excellent and arranged for us to move to a room overlooking the grounds and sea. Despite the adverse publicity surrounding Cape Verde, we found the hotel to be one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The choice of food at all meal times was excellent, cooked well and delivered with the highest hygiene. The staff are some of the warmest and happiest we have encountered and really made our break relaxed with their personal touches. The grounds, pools and beach areas were spotless giving a no stress vibe! We have no doubt in our minds that we will return.

We just returned from a week at this hotel with two children (aged 4 and 8). I was worried about the sanitary situation given the recent press articles. What a lot of stress for nothing!!! The hotel is magnificent, and the staff is super friendly and very professional. Hygiene is impeccable throughout the entire resort. The food is probably the best I’ve ever seen in an all-inclusive: very varied and high quality, morning, noon, and night! There are sunbeds available at all hours—no need to go and reserve yours with a towel at sunrise! To those thinking about cancelling their trip: don’t make that mistake! Just follow basic hygiene measures: wash your hands often, brush your teeth with bottled water, and everything will be fine. My only advice: no stress! And have a caipirinha while watching the sunset, you won't regret a thing :) Thank you, Riu Palace Boa Vista, it was a wonderful week!

We had the BEST holiday! Spent Feb half term here with my daughters (aged 9 &12) and we couldn't have asked for more. The hotel was beautiful - facilities, service, rooms, food & drink all wonderful. Extremely high standards of cleanliness so no concerns at all about the risk of tummy bugs etc that was in the news before we travelled. The whole resort felt super safe and I was able to allow my girls to be independent using the pool, getting snacks etc and taking part in activities - so I could truly switch off and relax too. I would highly recommend the hotel and we can't wait to visit again!

We have just returned from our third stay at the riu palace boa vista. What can I say except Wow it was perfect as usual every member of staff is outstanding and treats you like you are special ❤️ there is everything you need for a relaxing or mad holiday, as they say don't be lazy be crazy 😜. From being greeted at the door by the porters taking your luggage to checking out we cannot fault one thing about the place cleanliness is the key. everywhere is immaculate al staff go out of there way for you and any thing you ask for you get. What a truly amazing experience ❤️ Thank you all once again.

Lovely resort a 5 minute drive from the airport. The staff here are lovely and will go out of their way to make your stay as nice as possible. The foods really good There's 3 pools and 2 pool bars with plenty of seats and deck chairs available. The beach is gorgeous, proper sand and always patrolled by either police or security. You get access to the water park also which is an added bonus. There's a shop on site and if im honest for t shirts and suvineers its not badly priced but €5 for a small redbull is mental. Decent selection of cocktails and if something isn't on the menu the bar staff will go out their way to make you whatever you like. The cleaners are on point and so is management. There's a safe in the rooms and every room has a balcony. There's suites with private pools and I believe theres multi occupancy rooms with multiple bedrooms. Of all the resorts ive been to this is 1 of the best by miles.
