We have returned three times, so clearly we like this destination and hotel. Top of the list is the wonderful staff. Every last one of them. The gardeners, maintenance people, cleaners, caterers, bar staff, reception. All cheerful, friendly and efficient. You will not sit for long without your table being cleared and cleaned. Toilets are cleaned constantly. Service is friendly and efficient. I have awarded 5 stars for the rooms which is generous but factoring in the value and what is important to us. Beds huge and comfortable, mini bar replenished regularly and extra requests eg. diet coke, water provided quickly. Air conditioned and ceiling fan. Everything you need. To be picky you might say they are ready for a bit of a refurb but nothing lacks in terms of comfort and convenience.

We stayed for 4 weeks it was fabulous. Staff were excellent food was amazing. The pool area is quite small for the amount of people but the beach is fine the sun beds need updating. Very dirty cushions. But you do have towels to cover. Room we stayed in 2016 very clean. The shower could do with deep clean just a bit mold here and there nothing to bad. Lovely hot water always. The bedside lamp doesn't work. The pipe underneath the sink leaked but did get sorted quickly. Sheets and towels sometimes were old and needed going in the bin. The cleaning staff worked tirelessly. Told them about the towel's and sheets and they changed them. Over all we had a lovely time thank you to all the staff

Amazing time spent in this great hotel! Service was excellent the food buffets were amazing and varied! The pool area was also great. And the ocean was extraordinary. Nothing to see outside the hotel except perhaps the salt lake but if looking for a relaxing beach holiday it’s worth it ! And you meet lots of people! 🌅🥳

Just returned from 10 days at RIU Cabo Verde. I can only say it was excellent from start to finish. The rooms are a little tired but like the whole complex are kept very clean. No problem getting a sunbed around the pool at any time. The food was excellent and a great choice. Very easy to get a taxi into Santa Maria and only 5 euros. Could do with more serving staff at the bar in the evening. Lovely beach with plenty of sunbeds under the trees and on the beach. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fantastic 10 night stay. We loved the beach which was absolutely beautiful. The three a la carte restaurants were really good and made a pleasant change to the buffet. In general all the restaurants were good with a good selection of meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always ready to top up our drinks. The wifi was really good all around the hotel. Our room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We entertainment wasn't to our liking but they did have a saxophonist in the main bar/reception area. Could of had more entertainment there. The coffee shop was excellent and was very busy. Our only bad points would be the amount of broken sun beds on the beach. And the beach bar could have been better Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back.
