Nice villa with amazing view on the ocean, 2 km away from Cidade Velha. The room was basic and clean, the mattress quite old and uncomfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful during our 12-days stay. A meal price starts from 10€ and the choice is pretty limited.

Por do Sol is a nice cosy quiet hotel just 20-25 mins outside buzzing Praia with a great swimming pool. A 2 star accomodation, the pool probably one of them, so dont expect 5-star luxury. The host is very eager to tell you abt Cabo Verde and regularly suggest to try the local drink Grogue, which he has readily available. The rest of the staff is also very friendly. A stairway leads down to semi-private pebble beach, only to be shared with the neighbours, great for swimming and snorkeling. Cidade de Velha is a nice 10/15 mins walk away giving a great choice of restaurants at beachside and of course the historic sites of Cidade de Velha. A great budget stay / cash on arrival.

Awesome place to stay and chill! The people there was very kind, the chef makes delicious foods! You woke up by the sound of the birds and the sea! At night you better your repellent though, but in the room they has air conditioning so you can sleep well. Also we were lucky, cause the owner and his mates, did some "serenata" with Cape Verdean songs (Mornas and Coladeras)

Depois de reservar no Booking e tentar fazer check-in fomos avisados que afinal não havia disponível quarto e que tinham enviado e-mail a avisar... Não enviaram e-mail nenhum.. Muito mau quando estamos confiáveis em ir dormire Depois temos de procurar novo local. Não recomendo porque existe mais na zona
