First time in the island and found this brand new hostel, I was quite lucky as most accommodations are more pricey, the location is fantastic and the staff very helpful, as the place was quite new I had plenty of quiet space. Very nice it has a kitchen and good internet so if you are a remote worker it is a good option.

We went to the hostel, but it didn't look anything like the photos. There's mold in several rooms, there are signs of cockroaches in the kitchen, and no way to cook... There's no electricity or Wi-Fi either... We're even wondering if it's just abandoned...

Paulo is an exceptional host, passionate about his island, attentive, and full of excellent advice! Our stay in Maio would have been very different without him :) The hostel is very well located, very pleasant, and the staff is excellent. Thanks again for everything!

Fantastic hostel, ideal for backpackers and digital nomads. Very well located, in a quiet area of Vila de Maio, close to the church and with various shops nearby. Good facilities, everything very clean, and a great terrace. The decor is inspired by '80s pop culture, which the owner, Paulo, is a fan of. And best of all, Paulo's kindness, always willing to help with a big smile. Good luck, it was a pleasure meeting you.
