If you’re looking for an authentic spot in Maio, you can’t miss Enzo. Enzo Caffè Pizza is in the main covered city market, and it was for us the core of our stay in Maio. We just arrived in Maio; we took a walk in the villa, and, attracted by the Italian flag and the coffee smell, we reached Enzo. We had pizza for lunch (salame pizza is his best one; don't miss it!) and finally, a very nice coffee that Enzo makes by Italian Moka. Also, he blends the coffee by himself, so the flavor is nice and delicate. Over the food, which was good and reminded us of home, we also enjoyed a lot of his company and the many stories and thoughts he collected in almost 15 years in Maio. The several tips he provided us were really a great key for meeting the island from a "more local" perspective. Thank you!

Enzo, thé owner is the sweetest! The best pizza in Maio! Check it out, you can both take away or eat there. Tasty, very fresh , he cooks all by himself. Even the dough. Delicious ! And definitely the best coffee in town. You should start your morning by having a coffee at Enzo caffe pizza.

Obviously popular with the ex pat italian community it is not for me however. Sitting on bar stools surrounded by smokers including Enzo I find unacceptable. 200 cve for a coffee is also steep.

A small and friendly piece of Italy in Maio. Enzo is super nice and chatty, it is great to stop by just for his stories and the best coffee I had in Cabo Verde. The pizza is nice and crunchy, just perfect for lunch 😌

Amazing place to have a coffee and homemade muffins to start the day. Enzo is the star and arrange nice pizzas to take away for a lunch at the beach. Very confy place to feel like home and feel the true Maio life!
