This is a lovely place to stay. With qualitative stuff and a very welcoming host, the B&B is located very convenient, in walking distance from the city center, in a quiet area. The local beach is 2min away. The service is nice and there was someone who waited for us right in the harbour. I would say, this place gives a feeling of home, yet has an European vibe.

The best basecamp to see Sao Nicolau. EM is an attractively appartment complex with 9 appartments and a central roof terras. All the appartments have everything you need and the ones on the first floor also have a nice balcony. It is located on the edge of the Tarrafel beach (Praia Tedja). You can get there with a (€20) taxi from the airport in 40 minutes. Which is a beautifull drive. When you book the appartment the EM taxidriver Edu will come to pick you up. Gabriel, the owner, is very helpfulle and can arrange everything for you. He uses Google translate quite effectively. One of his staff, Adelberto, is an exellent and affordable tourist guide. I would recommend a stay of two full days. You can relax on the day of arrival and on the day you leave. On the first day you can hike the Monte Gordo park and climb the peak. Use a guide so you can also follow the smaller trails. They tend to overgrow. The second day you can rent a fourwheel drive and visit Baixo Rocha, Carberinho and Ribeira Brava in your own tempo. The drive will be a thrill! You can stay longer to relax and do some wonderfull walks.

Beautiful sea view, cosy apartment. Breakfast included, and amazing ! 6600 esc per night. You can ask for an Aluguer directly from there, no so expensive, and it's the easiest way to discover the island ! Definitely recommend it !

Nice place close to city. Clean. They charged us 10€ for a 500 m drive to the port. That was not ok the assitant manager only want to rip you off thats sad
