Dining at Dokas was an unforgettable experience! The seafood Marisco was delicious —fresh, flavorful, and great for a solo diner without being overwhelming in portion size. The view is simply to die for, making every bite even more enjoyable. A true highlight was being greeted by the melodious Cape Verdean Warblers during my meal—a rare and delightful touch of nature that made the experience feel magical. The staff deserves a huge shoutout: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring about my enjoyment. Despite the language barriers, they made a real effort to connect and ensure I had the best experience possible. It was also inspiring to see an entire team of educated, talented, and beautiful Black women excelling at their craft. If you’re visiting Cape Verde, Dokas is an absolute must—great food, breathtaking views, and heartfelt hospitality.

Strongly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a beautiful sunset view over the harbor. The fish here is exceptionally fresh🐟🐟

I arrived early evening however the service was good.i had popcorn prawn with a Thai sweet chilli dip.. This to me was cheating My Main course was Portuguese pork escalope substantial but a Hodge poodle of cordon blue with a mushroom sauce thickened with corn flour and two badly overcooked fried eggs on top. I had to laugh because I could be called Egon Topp. They warned me the bottle of Mateus was an overkill but I took some away with me

Google says temporarily closed but it was open and busy. We went downstairs and sat by the dock. We had a fish of the day (Amberjack) and pork and both were very good. I recommend the legumes salteadas (they call it stir fried veggies) it is very tasty. The fish was excellent. The side of sweet potato fries was also goo not super sweet like some, made with a less sweet white sweet potato. 32 euros for 2 people for lunch with appetizer and meal and 4 "mini" superbocks. Seems like everywhere in Mindelo, here too, the staff is very nice.

Pros: Good location, magnificent view, 2 environments, varied menus, pleasant place and the best catxupa in São Vicente. Cons: price is medium high, slow service, in case of rain you have to go inside (rain is very rare 😁).
