Not recommended (at least for dinner). 🙅🏻 Terrible slow service, mistakes made in our orders and average quality of food. Much better can be found around Santa Maria with better prices ... 👎🏻 The fish was boring, the worst I had in downtown and the Feijoada was advertised as mix of fish and meat in a traditional way, was just with meat 🫤 I liked it, it was good but, just not what it was sold to me... Lunch menus have good prices, perhaps for that you could go but avoid for dinner 🙅🏻

The Cultural Cafe is one of my favourites in Santa Maria. Probably the best value in the town. For €7 you get a starter, main, dessert and a drink! Admittedly the starter is just croutons, although the tastiest croutons I've ever had. Service is prompt and always friendly. Plus you get a sea view!

We waited over an hour for our food which we wouldn’t even complain about but I got food poisoning an was puking all night after eating here.

Tough, stringy chicken and undercooked potatoes so appologetically sent it back after ordering some water to see if I could just force it down and get on with life and was treated to a conversation with the owner (must have been, any employee would be fired) that I won't forget in a hurry He stood in front of me eating from my plate telling me how good the food was even after I'd coughed some of it up in their toilet, aggressively resistant telling me chicken breast could not possibly be overcooked and that I was probably not used to chicken or was accustomed to chicken with antibiotics in it, even baiting me to leave this review?! We left half a bottle of wine on the table after he told us to sit back down because we couldn't stand to be a guest of his a minute longer
