Great location and very authentic old hotel. But absolute no interest to offer you a pleasant stay. We were promised to have breakfast as take away and kitchen staf looked as if they never did this before.

I was so impressed when I entered the building I actually thought it was a lovely museum! I was shown around and have topsail its the loveliest small hotel in Capo verde from what I've seen

Situated at 500 m from the beach in the historical center of San Felipe. This characteristic Portugese Sobrado offers rooms with airco. Some have a unsuited bathroom, some in the corridor. The service of the rooms is very good. Super clean. The restaurant is always open Although there is not a lot of variety on the menu, the food is very well prepared and savours perfect. Recommend it also for the hidden swimming pool... a jewel.

Best place to stay in Fogo. Great location in front of the square. Has its own restaurant and bar that serves very good food with pleasant service. Mini-grocery store, bank/ATM, little shops nearby. Black sand beach a few minutes walk. Room 1 is very spacious for two people (very comfortable queen bed) and has a separate, connected smaller room for a third person (single bed). The room is tastefully furnished with a nice balcony that overlooks the square. The bathroom is outside across the hall but it is private (for your own use only). Overall the hotel is designed and furnished well, in harmony with the vibe of the property. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, special mention and thanks to Bruno. They have several package tours to the volcano. They can also arrange rental car, airplane and ferry tickets. Negatives: Weak wifi signal, doesn't work in the room, only downstairs in the lobby near the reception office. The massage therapist is untrained/unskilled, they should stop offering it until they get a trained therapist. It's a waste of money.

Very stylish hotel, great location and nice pool. Just a note on the bathrooms- they are not in the room, which is not very convenient and maybe something to consider when booking. Compared to the other islands, none of the restaurants we tried on fogo were not that good. Maybe we weren't lucky...!?
