Wonderful, comfortable, and quiet place—perfect for spending one (or more!) nights in Chã das Caldeiras. Rose and Ciza are very welcoming, friendly, helpful, and kind. I regret not staying more than one night; the place is truly magical, and Rose and Ciza makes the experience even better. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Basic rooms (with all you need!) and great location to discover the Pico de Fogo and the Caldeira. Rose and his family (everyone is involved and helping) are great hosts and make everything possible. We can definitely recommend it!

Rose, Ciza and family are wonderful hosts, rooms are nice and clean, we enjoyed good breakfast and dinner, definitely can recommend! (Hoping to come back, too)

It was a pleasure to stay with Rose. Very simple yet heartwarming amenities and food. Don't skip the amazing stargazing on the porch. He has a vast knowledge of the orography, agriculture and water management systems in the area and is the best guide I've ever had the pleasure of hiking with. The people of chã das caldeiras are very resilient and they are single handedly creating a paradise in one of the harshest places on earth, starting almost from scratch after the 2013/14 eruption. I will for sure revisit and witness the evolution : ) Thank you Rose!
