Wonderful place, you can’t find more authentic than this. Street cooking, nice people, food served quickly and awesome taste. Chicken, pork, fish or else, Cha Cha is the grill queen here. Just ask and you’ll be served by really kind people. Oh and don’t miss the tasty lentils or the traditional katchupa, you won’t regret it. All meat comes with rice, fries, and many good other side dishes. If you like to sit and relax in a corner, talk with nice locals and enjoy a typical Cape Verdian food, you are at the right place. This epic local food must be part of your stay in Maio. « Go at Cha Cha’s or don’t come at all ;) ».

Only love for ChaCha Chicken! During our short stay we visited ChaCha and Darlene two times and it was an unforgettable experience! 🫶🏼 Very warm welcome, yummy crispy chicken straight from the BBQ, amazing traditional Cachupa (I recommend!) A truly authentic dining experience that we will never forget! Thank you ChaCha and Darlene! 🥰

Chacha is a great chef and eating in her outdoor barbeque restaurant a true experience. We've tried the chicken with lentils and it was really tasty. Try Chacha and live a unique experience!

Simply the place to be. A family with such a big heart, I have goosebumps thinking of them. The food is delicious: - barbecue with either chicken, porc or different types of fish -sides are home-made fries and lentils to die for, steamed veggies and rice. I guarantee you won't leave this place starving and your tastebuds will have a hell of a party. (Really really delicious food!) Chacha also makes traditional dishes such as fish or meat Cachupa (to order a day before) with ingredients that are grown on the island of Maio. A Cabo Verde delicacy that should not be missed. I already miss all of you

You have to pass by Chacha’s, her BBQ chicken is amazing…it goes with lentiles, rice, potatoes, vegetables and french fries….
