We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely Hotel..Rooms are wonderful and clean and the location in the Center is great. But by far the best part what made the whole experience for us so special was one of the Employees of the Hotel: Emanuel! The Hotel clearly is carried on his shoulders. He sees everything, goes above and beyond to make Things happen, understands what Tourists expect and pay for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of us Emanuel!!

This was my first time staying at the hotel. Our room had a great view and was amazingly decorated. The rest of the hotel was also really nice and cozy, with the pool being a great addition. The hotel is close to both the beach, restaurants and market. One of the staff members, Emmanuel, was always available to meet our every needs, waking up really early to provide us with a great breakfast. Definitely a place you should consider staying at if you are planning on visiting Fogo. I hope to be back soon:)

This is my second time staying at Casa Colonial Koenig in Fogo, and once again, it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The guesthouse is charming, clean, and full of character — the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island. A huge thank you to Emmanuel for his amazing work. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and guests feel welcome and comfortable. The owners are also amazing and friendly, ready to help with anything! I loved it the first time, and this second visit just confirmed that this is my go-to spot in Fogo. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and I highly recommend Casa Colonial Koenig to anyone visiting Fogo Island in Cabo Verde. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely the best stay in Cabo Verde. We were lucky enough to meet the owner and he was the nicest person. Very charming and helpful. The apartments are very clean, beautifully decorated and top notch. The indoor pool and bar makes you feel like in a movie. It’s very close to the beach and airport. The restaurant and cafe of the partner hotel is very close too and offers great drinks/ cocktails and delicious food. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s worth every penny!
