This place is fantastic — the location and views are absolutely outstanding. The local food they serve each day is delicious and healthy. The rooms aren’t quite what you’d expect from a high-standard hotel (you’ll see what I mean once you’re there), but the scenery and the quality and quantity of the food more than make up for it. The staff were very kind and supportive throughout our stay. One important note: make sure to check the difficulty level of the hikes before starting. We did a “High” one to the crater and slightly regretted it 😅. Other than that, waking up there with those views is truly unforgettable.

It’s hard to imagine a better location than Casa Cavoquinho — on a hillside with a fantastic view of the valley. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, and clean, functional rooms. A perfect base for nearby hiking trails.

Gorgeous mountains views from rooms and common areas, delicious food for breakfast and dinner. Accessible by alugers and walking distance from multiple trails. Staff is very nice as well.

Casa Cavoquinho is a delightful guesthouse set in the stunning landscape of Paúl, Santo Antão. Its location is truly exceptional—perfectly integrated into the natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff are amazing: warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They kept my family and me well-informed about the best hiking trails and activities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food deserves a special mention too—delicious dishes prepared with super fresh local products. Overall, Casa Cavoquinho is the perfect place for a relaxing and authentic Cape Verde vacation.
