If you are looking for a peaceful place to have a relaxing time, you should at the very least spend a couple of days at Casa Azul. Beautiful view, quality breakfast with local ingredients, and enjoyable rooms. The house is also deeply rooted into the culture of Mindelo, so if you ask the hosts, you can hear nice stories! Hosts are professional, while bringing a personal touch!

Amazing view from this charming, peaceful property, set high above Mindelo. Superb for watching the sun set. Pierre was a great host, and very helpful. He organised transfers, an island tour and a hike for us. The food was very good, and the Caipirinhas!

Absolutely recommend staying at this accommodation if your planning a vacation on São Vicente. The place is owned by a super friendly French family who’s English and Spanish was also very good. After arriving on São Vicente the owners son picked us up at the airport with a driver and showed us around the place. We got a welcome traditional caipirinha and got to drink it on the terrace with an absolute stunning view. This is also where a delicious breakfast was served including coffee, bread, omelette, yoghurt and freshly baked cake and homemade juice (just right to start your day). They also have a beautiful pool with view over Mindelo. We rented a scooter and the drive up the dirtroad was quite exciting, but no problem for experienced drivers. Otherwise getting a driver/taxi with the owners help should be the the easiest way getting around. We also fell in love with the cute puppies playing and exploring around the property as you can see on one of the pictures.
