Amazingly warm & friendly service by all involved. Alcindo and his wife personally checked up on us every day, gave advice, and made sure everything was great. The hotel is beautifully built, the local food was great, the views and hiking opportunities awesome. Thank you!

Great hospitality! I had an amazing stay at Casa Alcindo, I walked in without a reservation, i was warmly welcomed by Laetitia, was given a comfy clean room with amazing views on the Pico where I have slept for 2 nights. Food was delicious and the staff/service was great all along. Laetitia also kindly helped with arranging a guide for a sunrise hike of the Pico. The location is perfect as well - the closest you can get to the Pico and right at the edge of the village for a quiet stay 😊 I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s visiting Chã das Caldeiras, you won’t be disappointed. A big thank you Laetitia and Casa Alcindo team 🙏

Alcindo and Laetitia have created a small oasis in the very beautiful and unique landscape of Chã das Caldeiras. They offer reasonably priced comfortable rooms around a beautiful courtyard. They also offer beautifully cooked meals and guide services. What I liked is that they give you complete freedom to customise your vacation without putting any pressure on you but, at the same time, there is always someone around that is available to assist with planning. Furthermore, if you need to, Laetitia will organise your transportation from the airport depending on your preference (colectivo or taxi). I had the chance to have some very interesting discussions with Alcindo during the hikes and I have appreciated his vision for low-impact tourism that benefits the locals. Overall we spent three very enjoyable days in Casa Alcindo. I think that the memory of relaxing in the beautiful courtyard after a hike will stay with me for a long time.

Absolutely wonderful. It's hard to imagine running a business in such a desolate volcanic area, let alone an oasis as high-end and eloquent as this one. Leticia is a fabulous host and it was absolutely heartwarming to hear a staff member sing as she was cleaning the villa this morning. Thank you for sharing the love you found here over a decade ago and creating such a lovely space. We are greatful!

Great host. Very polite, discreet, calm, helpful and organized. She makes everyone feel welcome and included. I strongly recommend this place.
