This is a perfect restaurant. Why? Because you have to make a reservation before. Why? Because of the high star ranking for food-service-atmosphere! It is true! Also there was live music. Still we could easily talk to each other. So the food was 🔝. Much 😁 of staff who worked there. And last but no least, great atmosphere, not so windy. The owner with Dutch roots, said he could extend his business but it was hard to find dedicated personel. It is a pity. Maybe readers of this comment have kids who want to practice international service catering as a student... Food was a 10/10 and the girls working there were super friendly. It was quite busy so everything took a bit longer but it was absolutely worth the wait. The menu is diverse and super well priced for the portions. The location is a bit far away from the strip but also worth the walk. We had the cod fish croquettes to start with and the octopus bread (Absolutely the best thing I have eaten in a long time) the sauce is divine! We scraped the plate clean and still longed for more. Then we went for the Xau Xau rice with fried fish for unbelievable 9€ per plate. And a taste explosion! Seriously amazing!! So much food that we barely finished and so authentic and good. They also had a musician there until 9:30 to accompanying the atmosphere with some indie tunes. Loved it and would definitely recommend

This is our favourite place in Santa Maria 💗 The only one we always come back 🤩 for dinner but also for any meal of the day! The atmosphere is a unique combination of style! Prices are reasonable! The STAFF is so nice 😊 Dave is a gentleman. We love live music 🎶 and he reserved the best table in front of Josimar an excellent guitar chansonnier 🎸 Food is well prepared with small details that makes the difference 🌿 Dave’s mother is a fantastic chef 🫶 Thanks 🙏 a lot for your efforts. We appreciated very much. Cinzia (Italian) with Winand (Holland) ps: we read only few bad reviews that are clearly made by local envious people 🤢😉

Nice atmosphere. Food is below average. I was here two times. Every time I couldn’t finish my food despite being very hungry. Catchupa is very dry, not tasty at all, plain. Rice with fish: rice is ok, but fish is dry, cooked with no salt.

I found this lovely spot just a minute’s walk from my accommodation on my second night. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner here for a couple of days this week. The xauxau rice with grilled banana and the katxupa with fish were both delicious. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The live music in the evening was a real treat.
