From the moment they picked us up at the airport Bernard and Valerie did everything. to make our stay enjoyable. We took the tour of the island with our hosts who showed us many points of interest- fantastic beaches, attractive villages, plants and even traditional boat building. We were also introduced to some lovely local people. Our apartment at A Caminhada was very clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We thoroughly recommend A Caminhada and Maio itself for a relaxing holiday.

Valérie and Bernard are the best hosts you could wish for. The place is very well kept and even better than on the pictures. I would give 6 out of 5 stars! Comfy beds, very clean, relaxed atmosphere, super well equipped kitchen. We had an excellent stay and ejoyed the tranquility of the small village. Merci beaucoup!

This place is amazing and Bernard, the host, is even more amazing. You will discover the real Ilha do Maio and will support the local developing. Even more! You can taste typical dishes and enjoy the greatfull sky of Maio at night Wich will hypnotize you. Very recomendable!!!

Excellent place to stay, the swimming pool is available and we enjoyed it. Surrounded by nature in the small village of Morro. The host has so many advices on what to do on the island that you can only spend a great trip, you can even rent the host´s car or make an island tour with the hosts. We ate there too as they have the catering service on demand, try the fish dish, it is a killer!

A fantastic stay! We were supposed to stay three nights, but we finally decided to stay eight, and we had a hard time leaving... The rental is spacious, very clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped. The village of Morro is super pleasant, calm, and peaceful, and the island of Maio has immense, deserted beaches for swimming and walking. And above all, ah above all, a fabulous welcome from Bernard and Valérie! They do everything to make you feel at home and have a great time, and they more than succeed. Thank you, thank you for this unforgettable moment! We hope to return to "a caminhada" soon...
